Renewable Parts' Refurbishment Centre Manager Michael Forbes attended this years Circular Economy Hotspot Scotland.
Delivered by Zero Waste Scotland, and Circular Glasgow (an initiative of Chamber of Commerce Scotland), the major international event aimed to "showcase Scotland's progressive approach to developing a circular economy and the best of our burgeoning circular businesses to a global audience."
Kicking off on Tuesday evening with a networking event held at the stunning Corinthian Club, followed by the grand style official opening at the magnificent Glasgow City Chambers Banqueting Hall with a warm welcome from Glasgow City Lord Provost & Glasgow Chamber Chief Executive Stuart Patrick.
Wednesday saw the main event with several businesses exhibiting their circular economy innovations in the Circular Glasgow Showcase, and Michael was lucky enough to have virtually front row seats for the compelling keynote speeches from the likes of Nicola Sturgeon - Scottish First Minister, Dr Leyla Acaroglu, and Dr h.c. Walter Stahel. There were plenty of interesting, circular economy innovations, we especially loved the podium (pictured above right, and in action in the below images) made of re-purposed broken computer parts.
