The arrival of August means it's time to introduce yet another Renewable Parts team member in our monthly Meet The Team series. This time we introduce our Data Specialist Balazs - originally from Hungary, Balazs is a programming wizard, and we can't imagine the Renewable Parts office without his quick wit and dry sense of humour, not to mention his fantastic problem-solving skills.
You can already discover more about each member of the RPL team on our about us page where a short bio and picture will give you a quick peek behind the curtain to see who’s making the magic happen, but for a bigger insight into our world we’re releasing monthly blogs on our website & social medias centered around getting to know a different member of the Renewable Parts team in each post.
We kicked off the series in late 2018, so make sure you go back and find out more about the team members already interviewed!
How long have you been at Renewable Parts and what is your role?
I’ve been at RPL for almost a year now. I work as a Data Specialist, which means that I’m responsible for building and managing our databases and running all the reporting processes as well.
What does your average day entail?
Well, it usually starts with running the reports needed for the meetings scheduled for the day, then I start working on any ongoing projects. This last bit normally includes some programming, and this is where I can get a bit creative with the new projects and processes. Innovation is something we always emphasize here at RPL, so bringing in and utilising new tools and technologies is a vital part of that.
Why did you choose to work at Renewable Parts?
The role sounded like a great fit for my skills, and I was keen to contribute to such a green industry. I didn’t have experience in the renewable energy sector before, but I find it really interesting and I’m happy this is where I work now.
What is your favourite part of the job?
It must be when I find a solution to a problem I’ve been working on for a while, mostly while coding in Python. A close second to that is playing a little with Fred’s dog, Millie who is often in the office to say hello to the team.
What 3 words would you use to describe the culture at Renewable Parts?
Friendly, innovative, dynamic.
When you are not working hard at Renewable Parts what are you most likely to be doing?
I like to learn about technology, in fact, most of my programming knowledge is self-taught. I also like to watch movies and go to the gym in my spare time.
With over 20 years experience in wind turbine maintenance and parts supply, we have the technical expertise to help you reduce costs whilst maximising availability levels.
