Renewable Parts' Operations Director, Fred Pullar had some interesting conversations last night at the Onshore Wind Week Reception centred around the economic and industrial impact of Onshore Wind to the UK.
The event, hosted at the House of Commons, brought together key developers and supply chain firms working in the onshore wind sector. With the aim of highlighting the benefits of onshore wind in the UK and ensuring continued support for wind energy, topics explored included wind power as a clean, cheap, energy source.
Further serving as a parliamentary launch for the wind industry’s new report ‘The Power of Onshore Wind’ produced by BVG Associates, which focuses on the cost and wider economic benefits of continued development of onshore wind in parts of the UK, the event aimed to bring the content of the report to life for MPs.
Speakers included Hugh Neal, CEO of RenewableUK, Simon Clarke MP and Lindsay McQuade, CEO of ScottishPower Renewables.
