We're dedicated to doing what we can to improve our environmental practices at Renewable Parts; whether that be through recycling and reusing packaging, or the use of harvested rainwater in our parts wash bays at our Refurbishment Centre. So, when the opportunity came through from Zero Waste Scotland for some of the RPL team to attend their Green Champions Training live event we jumped at the chance to participate.
Yesterday Graham from our main warehouse, and Ethan from our parts Refurbishment Centre headed over to Hampden Park where business experts, guest speakers and one-to-one advisors delivered each of the Green Champions Planning Modules over the course of the day.
Green Champions Training is a CPD Certified training course for Scottish organisations. Designed to develop new skills and tools to successfully improve the resource efficiency and environmental performance of organisations - and of course save money too.
Written by resource efficiency experts, each short Green Champions training module packs in knowledge and experience that accelerate understanding of the benefits of resource efficiency and allow the opportunity to learn about available funding as well as the changing resource landscape and how to go beyond compliance to save money, grow profits and increase competitive advantage.
Graham and Ethan both thoroughly enjoyed the day, which on top of the training included a museum tour and the opportunity to explore the stadium. On their return from the course they have been tasked with identifying opportunities for improvement at our facilities, and have already suggested a few areas we’re now looking at developing solutions for.
With over 20 years experience in wind turbine maintenance and parts supply, we have the technical expertise to help you reduce costs whilst maximising availability levels.
